Cotecna signs PVoC Scope Expansion Contract with MoTRI Ethiopia

Cotecna recently signed a PVoC (Pre-Export Verification of Conformity) scope expansion contract with the Ethiopian Conformity Enterprise (ECAE) and Ministry of Trade of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. This expansion is to provide PVoC services on 11 additional types of imported products tailored to meet the needs of various sectors within Ethiopia.

Cotecna's Contract & Regional Manager for South and East Africa Mr Wesley Aondo met with members of MoTRI and EACE this past week to sign the contact. Under the terms of the agreement, Cotecna is now authorized to issue Certificates of Conformity (COCs) in accordance with Ethiopian standards (CES) for products that include:

• Pneumatic Tyres of Rubber for Transport and Construction Vehicles
• Household Appliances: Refrigerators, Generators and Portable Lamps
• Specified Machinery Parts
• And other additional types of imported product
