Agronômica’s CSR Initiative for the Community of Rio Grande Do Sul

In a heartfelt effort to support local communities affected by the devastating floods in May 2024, Agronômica recently organized a seedling donation drive. The initiative aimed to bring hope and a sense of renewal to those impacted by the natural disaster.

On July 27, 2024, Agronômica distributed 200 spice seedlings, including basil, marjoram, rosemary, parsley, and chives, to the Dr. Victor Hugo Ludwig State School in the Mathias Velho neighborhood of Canoas. The school's vertical vegetable garden, destroyed by the floods, will be replenished with these seedlings. The donation was received with gratitude by the school's headmaster, Marli, and her team of teachers during a special event that welcomed back parents and students. Attendees had the opportunity to take some of the seedlings home, fostering a sense of community and continuity.

More spice seedlings were also distributed in Relvado. This small town, with around 2,000 inhabitants, suffered significant losses due to the floods. The donations were warmly received by the families, who expressed their joy and gratitude.

Additionally, Agronômica extended this gesture to its own team members, who received seedlings during a convivial afternoon coffee gathering in the company's communal area.

Agronômica remains committed to supporting local communities and fostering resilience in the face of adversity. This seedling donation is just one of many initiatives aimed at helping those affected by recent events.
